Now available in four diameters and two different cup depths. they allow you to play on the same rim whether you're in a symphonic, solo, or outdoor setting. More flexibility and range is possible with the Medium cup. Use the Deep cup for that full-bodied sound indoors. Rims are contoured for maximum comfort while retaining crisp, clean attacks.
Medium cup is a standard style cup with a .310" bore (7.9mm)
Deep cup is more conical in the Helleberg tradition with a .324" bore (8.2mm)
The Standard rim is similar to the Bach rims. It provides a good seal and the rounded inner edge provides both an accurate attack and comfort.
Helleberg style rims
If you prefer the "seal" and attack of the Helleberg rim, they're now available as a stock item on models 126 through 132. The Helleberg style rim is very flat and does not fall off to the outside. this gives an outstanding seal and brings the bite of the mouthpiece close to the top of the rim. This can give the ultimate in control at loud or soft dynamics.
