Ok, so I purchased this bach 1G bass trombone mouthpiece and I must say that I really like it. The rim is thin and the cup is extremely deep. The mouthpiece I had used before the 1G was some sort of stock mouthpiece.(no markings) It looked to be maybe a 5G or a 4G. The bach 1G allows me to play at incredible volumes without cracking a note.(Even in the low register) The bach 1G will also add a good bit of power to your low extremes as well. Pedal tones come out so easy with this thing. Overall, this mouthpiece is a force to be reckoned with in the right hands.
